We marked remembrance day in school by watching the Sunday service held outside Saint James Church in Anston which was kindly recorded for school. Following watching the service we held our two minutes silence and then went on to write some messages of thanks. The children learned about the roles children played during WW1 by taking on adult jobs if they were 12 years old, delivering top secret messages and watching the coast line before school. They should also have brought home the poppy that they made in school this week by reading and following a set of instructions.
