As Winter approaches and we are beginning to feel the impact of the cost of living crisis, we would like to extend our help and support to our school community in as many ways as we can. We understand that children, staff and their families are facing tough decisions and circumstances.
Our Trust, White Woods Primary Academy Trust, have kindly supported us in committing to a phased plan to provide the support our communities need.
The following initiatives are the first part of this plan which aim to help ALL families within our 13 school communities:
‘Fully loved’ with Whitewoods! Pre-Loved uniform up for grabs
We understand how quickly our young people grow throughout their time in school, therefore, a clothing rail with pre-loved, clean uniform is available for you to browse and take for yourself or someone you love.
If you have any uniform (red jumpers/sweatshirts/cardigans and navy/dark trousers/skirts/pinafores) and/or coats at home in good condition that no longer fit your child, why not drop these off at the School Office for someone else to use and love?
Also, if any parents have a few spare children’s coat hangers available this would also be helpful for our clothes rail.
Our clothes rail will be up and running from Monday 5th December.
Opening school as a Community Space
Over the coming months, school will be offering opportunities for our children and families to use our shared spaces to connect with each other in a warm and welcoming space.
We have already organised our Christmas nativity afternoons and a Parent Morning for Year 2 (Class 1 & 2) in the month of December. We will look at organising further events in the New Year.
